Although they may have fewer followers than your average influencer, that being between 1,000 – 10,000 followers, micro-influencers are playing a big role in the next wave in marketing. While having a high number of followers is seen as “high status,” it is the level of engagement they create from their followers that makes them special. The number of followers doesn’t hold as much weight as you may think, and at the end of the day, some may say it’s not much more than a vanity number.
